Taking Notes

So far we have been taking notes on our essential questions. These notes will help us write our ten page paper and make an outline to help. These notes can be on your computer, line paper and in dot jot format. Some of the resources I have been using are books:

• Battered Women
• Breaking the Cycle of Abuse
• Surviving Domestic Violence

These books are helping me learn more about the topic of Domestic Violence and giving me beneficial information for my paper.

More Interviewing

Today we worked on our interviews and some of us actually talked or had conversations with the people that has worked in the feild that we are researching in.
I think that this is a great oppertunity to learn about things that go on in the work place dealing with your feild.

Interviewing Process

Today we went over the interviewing process and talked about how to conduct a professional interview. This information was very helpful because then you know what to do when you actually get to your interview. We also had to come up with a list of people to interview for our topic. This will help us be prepared at the interview. Some of the Organizations I will try to inter view is:

This information along with the information from the library should help me conduct a great interview.

My Glossary

Last Week

For the last weeks we have been doing citations and getting help from seniors and alot of outside influence on our projects. I really like the idea of having citations so you can go back and use these websites for references. I really do not like blogging my progress or blogging about my work because at the last minute of class it seems rushed and I dont like rushing.
My thoughts about these previous weeks is it was alot of work and I dont like the fact that we should blog everyday it is frustrating.

Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence kills over 800,000 woman each year and that doesn't even count the amount of children that die from domestic violence.

Domestic Violence is an ongoing process that you can develop or be taught, this process needs to be stoped. In doing this Graduation Project I do not expect to stop domestic violence but I do expect to let people know what excactly is going on in the world and how thousands of people die from this.

In graduation project class we had to create a poster dealing with our project, this is mine.

Senior Advice

Yesterday a group of seniors spoke to us about our graduation project. The advice that they gave to us was very helpful and it help me come to a desicion. My project ideas were well thought up and had alot of research behind it but one did not work out as a project and the other one was alot simular to another project that is being done our class. Those two projects are :

• African American Woman in the field of Engineering
• Racism in the Judicial System

These projects when looked at thoroughly did not meet the standards of this project so I will continue to work on the last topic which is:

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Intrest Inventory

We have recently completed our intrest inventory. The inventory is to help you figure out what projects you are interested in, so you can get started quickly. In doing this project I have found that I am interested in another topic which is: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

I feel that domestic violence is a very big issue in today's society because so many children are bieng affected by it. Some of them are forced to live in shelters, homless or even worse they are dead., So I would love to do a project that benifits children that needs help.

Another interesting topic that I had was The Influence that the Media has on America's youth. This topic is a pressing issue because what you see is what you get and if you see negativity you might end up being negative.

Some of my project ideas are very well but I just can't think of a project that will fit the topic and I would say that is what I am worried about and need to find out what I am going to do soon.

First Thoughts on Graduation Project

I have learned that in order to Graduate from City High you have to complete a graduation project. To do this you:

• Pick a topic you are interested in
• Research the topic thoroughly
• Then you desigh a project around the topic

My knowledge of this project is very thin but when my cousin did her's it was evolved around dancing in which she came to our middle school started a dance team and we performed at the talent show, it was alot of fun.

Some of the projects I am interested in are something to do with:

• African American Woman in the field of Engineering
• Racism in the Judicial System
• Negativive Influences in the Media

Some of the concers that I have about graduation project are:

• I won't have enough time to complete it
• My idea won't stretch far enough to make a project
• My project will be to challenging and I will become stressed out

So since I am going to be blogging my progress, I hope that it will make the Graduation Process alot easier.
